Ashfield Local Plan Review

The Local Plan was formally adopted on 22nd November 2002.
The plan is made up of three sections and is preceded by guidance in understanding the Local Plan.
The purpose of the Local Plan is to give a framework of policies to guide and encourage development in Ashfield District up to the year 2011, whilst safeguarding and enhancing the environment.

The Local Plan Review is currently going through a phase where it will be incorporated into the Local Development Framework. The Local Development Scheme explains the transition process.
