||Draft Interim Planning Guidance: Affordable Housing
This consultation ended on the 1st September 2008
To update current council policy on affordable housing a draft Interim Planning Guidance (IPG) Note on Affordable Housing has been prepared. This document, when formally adopted by the Council, will update Ashfield's requirements for affordable housing and the methods and means by which the Council will secure affordable homes.
The consultation period for the draft document is 4th August 2008 to 1st September 2008. This is your opportunity to let us know your views on this documents.

Hucknall Town Centre Masterplan Consultation
This ended 26th July 2008.
On Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July a public consultation took place in Hucknall Market Place to give residents the opportunity to express their views on the Masterplan options for the regeneration of Hucknall town centre.
Ashfield District Council has commissioned urban designers and planners URBED to prepare the masterplan, and URBED have developed ideas and urban strategies for the future of Hucknall. The two day exhibition and public consultation was very well attended, despite the absence of the 'Big Red Bus', which was, unfortunately unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
If you were unable to attend, the consultation continues until Friday 26th July. The exhibition has now been moved into the library in Hucknall market place and can be viewed during opening hours; completed questionnaires can be posted in a box in the library.

The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
This ended on 16th July, 2008.
The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment identifies areas of the District that have flooded or are potentially at risk of flooding, and sets out proposals to manage/reduce flood risk, which should be reflected in planning policies and decisions.
The consultation period for the draft document is 16th June 2008 to 16th July 2008. This is your opportunity to let us know your views or identify any locations that flood, which have not been set out in the document.

Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA)
This ended on 9th April 2008
Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and Mansfield District Councils have devised a joint draft methodology for the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) for the Nottingham Outer Housing Market Area (HMA). The purpose of the SHLAA is to identify and assess sites within the three District Council areas which may have the potential to accommodate new housing development.
The Final SHLAA Methodology document can be viewed at all local libraries in the three Districts and at Kelham Hall Newark, Mansfield Civic Centre and Ashfield District Council Offices. For a copy of the responses please follow the link:
