She scooped the prize after entering a prize draw promotion organized by Sport and Leisure Management (SLM), the company who manage the centre on behalf of Ashfield District Council, encouraging people to take part in their Everyone Active initiative.

A busy working mum, Pauline had been looking for ways to get fit and lose a bit of weight – and was thrilled when told she’d won a whole year’s gym membership.

The aim of the Everyone Active is to encourage people to become livelier in 2008 and to help them enjoy activity.

Based around activity planners, the branding is be available at 56 leisure centres nationally as well as in Ashfield to try and beat obesity, inactivity and people’s fear and intimidation of exercise.
