Where’s Byron?

||
Ashfield District Council's MOLE (Byron) went into hiding for a competition held at the Ashfield Show.

Entrants in the competition had to successfully identify on a map of the District where they thought Bryon was hiding.

Despite the bad weather nearly 250 entries were received at the Ashfield Show on the 9th of August. There were separate competitions for Adults and Children, 5 winners in each category. Three winners correctly identified Bryon’s exact location, Ben Clarke, Luke Melton and Neil Brown. Other winners included Ryan Anderson, Joanne Thomas, Trevor Waring, Jade Edge, C Partington, J Hill and Joe, Tamzin, Cameron and Sam Peachy all received their prizes from the Chairman of the Council, Councillor M Barsby on 20th August at Ashfield District Council.

The competition was held at a stall run by the Council’s Land and Property Division’s Geographical Information System and Land Charges team to help promote the new and improved MOLE and StreetLevel map based applications held on the Ashfield District Council’s website. Visitors to Ashfield District Council website can now view property related information down to house level including planning history dated back to 1974.
