Grant Aid Cheque for Women’s Centre

Kirkby Women’s Centre has received a cash boost from Ashfield District Council.

The Centre was among one of many local groups and charities to benefit in the latest round of the Council’s Grant Aid programme, which distributed a total of £23,187 to good causes during 2007.

Chairman of the Council, Cllr Harry Toseland and his wife Jean, visited the Centre, which is on Diamond Avenue, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, to present the bumper cheque to Mrs. Glenis Thierry, Vice Chairman of the Centre and Support Worker Alison Stone.
