School teams of 4 boys and 4 girls competed in two Mini Tennis tournaments and were thrilled when Brocky Broccolli and Peggy Pineapple also turned up to play an exhibition match as part of the Brocky and Peggy Roadshow.

Winners of the morning competition : Girls Kingsway, Boys Underwood
Winners of the afternoon competition: Girls Hillside, Boys Hillside

All participants received a certificate of participation and Brocky and Peggy Roadshow water bottles.

Dave Waring, Assistant sports Development Officer for Ashfield District Council said ‘The two sessions have provided fun and competition for the youngsters, who will, hopefully, consider continuing to play tennis at Sutton Lawn Tennis Club and Hucknall City Tennis Club’.
