Participants took part in various races and all received a certificate of participation from the Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council, Councillor Joan Taylor and a Brocky and Peggy Roadshow bag from GB swimmers Callum Lawson and Leah Halpin and Brocky Broccolli and Peggy Pineapple.

The event was organised in partnership by Ashfield District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, the Ashfield District School Sports Partnership and Hucknall Leisure Centre.

Richard Ellis, Holgate School Sports Co-ordinator said ‘The Gala has been a great success. The youngsters have had great fun, but more importantly have come a way from the event with a sense of achievement and pride.’
