||
Date: 17th June, 2008

The ‘Brocky and Peggy Roadshow’ recently visited the Ashfield District High 5 Netball Tournament at the National Comprehensive school in Hucknall.

Over 70 girls and boys took part in the competition from Bagthorpe, Hawthorne, Jeffries, Priestsic, Hillside, Edgewood, Orchard, Croft, Greenwood and Morven Park primary Schools.

Two group competitions led to semi finals and a final which saw a closely contested game between Bagthorpe and Morven Park, finishing a 2 -1 victory for Bagthorpe after extra time went into golden goal.

Carol Halllam, Ashfield District Council’s Sports Development Officer said:

“The competition has been great fun. High 5’s is a great mini game of netball and Hucknall Town Netball Club have been fantastic hosts.”
