Artists working in a range of media, including two and three dimension work are invited to submit a portfolio of up to ten examples of their work based upon themes of their choice. Work should be produced from an original source of inspiration in preference to a photographic or copied original. Selected artists will then be invited to exhibit their work at the Summer Exhibition.

After talking to our members it was felt that there was a clear gap in exhibiting opportunities for our local artists, so we hope this summer exhibition will prove to be the first of many.”

The Greenhouse is a network for the creative industries sector in North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire. It is a free service which exists to ensure that members have access to the support they require and acts as an advocate for creative industries in the local area. Since it was launched in November 2006 The Greenhouse has attracted more that 200 members representing a range of creative businesses and individuals.

The Greenhouse teamed up with Thoresby Gallery near Ollerton following a strong response from members to enable them the opportunity to exhibit their work in a prime space.

The deadline for portfolio submissions is 1st April and all artists must be members of The Greenhouse prior to submitting their work. The Greenhouse is free join and welcomes members from a range of creative industries. You can join by visiting www.creativegreenhouse.org.uk

All artists must live or work within the eligible areas, which include Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood and North East Derbyshire.
