Croft Primary School - Bulb Planting

||
Date: 17th October 2008

Ashfield District Council has teamed up with Croft Primary School to undertake an afternoon’s bulb planting to brighten up the open space on Kirkby Folly Road in Sutton for the benefit of local residents.

A class of Year 3 pupils from the school will be planting up to 2000 Daffodil bulbs on Thursday 23rd October 2008, 1.30 – 2.30pm, to create a cheerful yellow display in spring on this busy road frontage.

The project is part of one of a number of bulb planting events organized this autumn by the Council’s Planning Policy team, as part of their work improving green spaces within the district.

Sue Ball, Head teacher of Croft Primary School said “At Croft Primary School we are very keen to be involved in community projects. It is a wonderful opportunity for our children to plant bulbs in the area as this will improve the area for everyone each spring”.
