The events will be family friendly fun-days including fun & games, crafts, bird-box making and the chance to try out sports for free. Official flag raising ceremonies will be taking place at 1pm at each event and refreshments will be available in the park cafés. The celebrations will also provide an opportunity to meet the Park Keepers, Countyside Rangers and Friends Groups who continue to work hard to maintain the high standards achieved.
The Green Flag Award is the national standard for parks and open spaces, recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the UK. The Awards are run by environmental charities, Keep Britain Tidy, GreenSpace and BTCV.
