It’s a Sellout!
||Free tickets for Ashfield Show's Saturday event were snapped up within hours and were all allocated by yesterday afternoon.
People were able to book their tickets for the Show via Seetickets on the phone, internet or in person at Ashfield District Council Customer Points and were using the service from when the allocation opened at 8.30am.
Frank Horsley, Head of Community and Economic Promotion, said he was delighted with the public’s response.
“I’m thrilled that so many people have decided to come along to Ashfield Show and have taken advantage of the ticket service we’ve put in place for the first time this year, our aim was to make tickets accessible as possible for local Ashfield residents in particular hence the extra resources we made available at our various offices”.
He also stressed that Saturday 8th August’s event was for ticketholders only.
“We strongly advise people without a ticket NOT to turn up at the Lawn, as they will not be admitted and there will be no tickets available on the day”.
“Those who have not been able to get a ticket will be able to come along to the Show on Sunday 9th, which is going to be packed full of exciting family entertainment and the best young musical talent Nottinghamshire has to offer in the shape of the Blast Festival”.
In keeping with the family theme and to comply with licensing regulations, there will be NO ALCOHOL permitted on the Showground at all during the Sunday.
The decision to allocate tickets for the Saturday was taken to limit numbers and ensure the safety of visitors.
