Ashfield Play Partnership will be providing activities for children and families from 3pm, including den-making, games and imaginative play. An informal games session for older kids is planned from 5pm, including tug-of-war and quick cricket.

Children, parents and young people will also have a chance to put forward their suggestions for improvements to the site. Funding has been allocated to the site by Ashfield District Council for improvements to play and youth facilities. Comments and ideas will be used to draw up a plan for the area incorporating new play facilities and environmental improvements.
