Breakfast Launch for eBusiness Programme

||
More than 33 businesses were in attendance for the recent launch of an e-business advice and support programme within Ashfield, Mansfield and Bolsover.

Held at Making It! in Mansfield the networking breakfast also involved staff from LEO (Local Enterprise Organisation), Business Link and officers from each of the district councils’ regeneration sections.

Frank Horsley, Ashfield District Council’s Head of Community and Economic Promotion said the event had been a great success.

“This was a well attended successful business breakfast, bringing local businesses together to network and show their interest in the free action planning workshops, available to them here in our local districts. It is vital that our businesses remain up to date with the latest advances in ICT, this will allow them to meet the challenges of the recession and be well placed to prosper in the future,” he said.

The programme of action planning workshops spans a variety of subjects – from planning a successful website to selling on the Internet. Staring in late April, the workshops will run right through the year until the autumn.

The workshops are aimed at pre-start and existing businesses based in the Mansfield, Bolsover and Ashfield districts that are looking to keep up to date with the latest ICT or wishing to invest in future technology and require funding support. Places are strictly limited and registration essential.
