Enterprising Women Doing it for Themselves

||
Date: 14 October 2009

Ashfield District Council is continuing to work with its partners at EMDA and Nottingham Business Venture to develop opportunities for women looking to start their own businesses. Following the success of several previous events and networking opportunities, the next in the series promises to be special.

Local enterprising women will be given the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products and services to the general public at the Ashfield Festive Fayre to be held at the John Godber Centre, behind the Market Place in Hucknall on Friday 13th November from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm.

There will be a whole range of tempting gift ideas for Christmas on display including unusual and hand crafted jewellery, fashion accessories, home made bread and cheese, books, photography, health and beauty products, gift hampers, arts and crafts including soft furnishings and many more gift ideas.

Members of the public are being encouraged to come along to support their local women owned businesses as well as speak to the business support experts who will be on hand during the day for anyone looking to take their own enterprising idea forward.

For more information about the event please contact Ella O’Connor at Ashfield District Council on 01623 457303.
