The festival will be held at the Kingsway Park, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield on Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd May, kicking off with a samba band procession at 10.15am from the Festival Hall to the maypole in the park.

The celebrations will continue with maypole dancing, craft and circus activities and musical performances featuring young people from local schools. Local community and conservation groups will also be taking part.

The highlight of the day will be a contemporary performance of 'Little Red Riding Hood' by the Bangers and Mash Theatre Company with lots of opportunities for audience participation.
