Sports and Leisure Management (SLM), the company that operates the leisure centres for Ashfield District Council under the banner of Everyone Active, has been officially certified with the Carbon Trust Standard which acknowledges which organisations have genuinely acted on climate change and are committed to ongoing emission reductions.

Everyone Active manages the following facilities for Ashfield District Council: Edgewood Leisure Centre in Hucknall, Hucknall Leisure Centre, Festival Hall Leisure Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Huthwaite Leisure Centre, Lammas Leisure Centre in Sutton-in-Ashfield, and Selston Leisure Centre.

Some of the projects that helped SLM and the local leisure centres achieve the Carbon Trust Standard included training and good housekeeping and introducing energy saving technology. To keep the Standard holders must continue reducing their carbon footprint and be reassessed every two years.
