The scheme, in conjunction with Ashfield District Council Arts Development, is subsidising three lively performances across the District which are certain to appeal to a wide range of residents.

“Who’s Been Sitting in My Chair?” is an innovative production from the Freehand Theatre Company is a heady mix of original puppetry, great design, beautiful music and gentle humour. It is a delightful interpretation of the classic fairytale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and is particularly suitable for children aged 3 – 7 year and their families.

“Phileas P. Souper” is performed by the Loon and Mimi Theatre and is combination of mime, comedy and music, loosely based on the Jules Verne classic ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. It is suitable for all ages, particularly families. “Cling to Me Like Ivy” A rare chance to see the Birmingham Repertory Company perform this humourous and moving tale of a would be bride and her travelling adventure which is suitable for 12 year olds and above.
