Ashfield Show gets ready to rock

||
Date: 26th July 2010

With less than two weeks remaining until the largest free community show in the East Midlands, preparations are well under way to make this year's Ashfield Show go with a bang.

Jamie ‘Afro’ Archer of X-Factor fame, and the Counterfeit Beatles, a Beatles tribute band, will both be headlining at the one day event on Saturday 7th August at Sutton Lawn, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Visitors to the show will have a whole host of family entertainment throughout the day and evening on the main arena, performance stage and throughout the grounds including:

In addition there will also be a mix of trade and charity stalls, a food court, a licensed bar area, the annual horticulture tent and much more.

The highlight for many is the ever-popular live music stage and Saturday evening concert, rounded off with a spectacular firework display at 9pm.
Councillor Wilmott, Ashfield District Council said “The Ashfield show is all about providing wholesome family entertainment to the people who live in the District. This year it is focusing on providing an arena for local talent to shine, with performances from a range of up and coming artists.”
