Four events are being held across Ashfield providing residents with the opportunity to meet the people who are tackling crime and antisocial behaviour in their area. Representatives from Ashfield District Council, the Police, the Fire and Rescue Service and many more, will be available to provide lots of information and advice.

Each event will follow a particular theme; celebration of young people, fire safety, the environment — graffiti, littering and vandalism, or antisocial behaviour to demonstrate what is being done to tackle these issues.

Everyone will have the opportunity to complete a questionnaire and voice their opinion about improvements for their area. All completed questionnaires will be entered into a draw to win an ipod.

A range of fun, free activities and entertainment will also be available for all the family.

The roadshows will run from 10am to 3pm on:

Councillor Wilmott, Deputy Leader of Ashfield District Council said: “We are really looking forward to these roadshows so that the community can get a feel for the work that is being done to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in Ashfield. We hope as many people as possible will come along and enjoy a fun day out.”
