A new Anti-Social Behaviour Caseworker has been appointed by Ashfield Partnership Against Crime (APAC) to provide support to those who have been affected by anti-social behaviour.

Dipti Patel, who has a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology, is co-located within Ashfield District Council and Kirkby-in-Ashfield Police Station, and is specifically working with victims of anti-social behaviour in the District.

Victims who have been affected by anti-social behaviour and need extra support can self refer themselves to Dipti, who will offer advice and support on how to cope in what can be a very stressful time.

Agencies across Ashfield are also referring people to Dipti where they will receive advice in keeping safe, reporting anti-social behaviour and giving them an outlet to talk through any problems and worries.

Her role is not only to work closely with those affected but to champion those people and raise the profile of the effects of anti-social behaviour within the Ashfield District.

Dipti commented “I have previously worked as a volunteer for Victim Support and dealt with victims of many different crimes including burglary, hate crimes, anti-social behaviour, harassment and stalking. I am here to support anyone who has been affected by anti-social behaviour and will take each case very seriously.”
