The Acting Returning Officer for the Ashfield Parliamentary Constituency will be holding a briefing session for potential Candidates and Election Agents for the forthcoming Parliamentary Election. The briefing will deal with all aspects of the nomination and electoral process.

The briefing session will be held on Tuesday, 30th March, 2010, at 6.30 p.m. in the following venue:

Ashfield District Council
Council Offices
Urban Road
Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Nottinghamshire
NG17 8DA

Voting

Are you registered to vote?

The next Parliamentary Election must be held before 4th June 2010. If you are not already registered as a voter, you do not have to know the date of the election before doing so. You should contact the Elections Helpline on 01623 457321 to register your right to vote as soon as possible.

If the election is to be held on 6th May 2010, as is widely expected, you must be registered to vote no later that 20th April 2010 in order to vote at an election if held on that date.
