Get Your Workplace Involved In The 2010 Active Ashfield Games
||As part of Ashfield's pledge to involve as many people as possible in the 2012 Olympic Games and to create a legacy beyond this, Ashfield District Council is introducing the Active Ashfield Games from 2010 onwards.
The Active Ashfield Games will take place on 3rd July at Ashfield School and will start with an opening ceremony, followed by competitions between the four towns of Sutton, Kirkby, Hucknall and Selston.
As part of the Games we are introducing two workplace competitions: Workplace Men's 5-A-Side Football - Teams of 7 to 8 players aged 18 and above and Workplace 'It's a Knockout' - Teams of 8 males and females aged 18 and above.
The It's a Knockout competition will be professionally run and based around the 70's/80's hit BBC TV Series, so teams need to be up for a laugh and prepared to get a little wet!
This could be a great teambuilding challenge for members of your workforce, raising morale and encouraging them to become more active.
To register an interest please visit www.activeashfield.co.uk or call Carol Hallam on 01623 457 410.
Closing date for entries is 28th May 2010.
