The Council have checked the equipment as part of regular health and safety maintenance inspections and have found that it is beyond repair to meet the latest safety standards. The equipment has also recently been subject to fire damage caused by anti social behaviour.

The Council have successfully secured funding to improve the play provision on the recreation ground and is working with the Skegby Neighbourhood and Residents Group to discuss potential improvements.

A public consultation event is to be held on Saturday 26th June on Stamper Crescent Recreation Ground. The aim is to ensure that local residents’ views are taken into consideration before any decisions about improving the recreation ground are made.
