It is also the final resting place of Lord Byron and his estranged daughter, the mathematician Ada Lovelace. The launch takes place on Saturday 25th September at Hucknall Library on the Market Place from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Councillor Tom Pettengell, Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council and Councillor Mick Parker of Ashfield District Council will both be in attendance at the launch together with the Chairman of the Hucknall Round Table. |
All are welcome to attend the event which will have entertainment including; music from Phil Rostance, a tombola, face-painting, children’s magician 'Freddie', balloons, celebratory cake and refreshments.
Sheila Robinson, Hucknall Tourism and Regeneration Group said: “We hope that this book will help us towards the regeneration of Hucknall. Many people, even local to Hucknall, do not realise how many significant people originated from the town.”This event is courtesy of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
