Environmental Protection Team at Ashfield District Council had a stall in the corporate marquee at the show, talking to hundreds
of residents about the environment and the important work the team undertakes. To get people thinking on the day, they ran a quiz all about noise pollution. Out of all of the entries, Bethany Broughton from Middlesex was the only person to get 11 out of 12 answers correct. Bethany aged 13 was visiting her relatives who live in Ashfield and came along to the Ashfield Show. She was invited in to the main Council office in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and presented with her prize of WH Smith vouchers.
