A new £100,000 concrete skatepark has recently been unveiled on Titchfield Park in Hucknall.
A new £100,000 concrete skatepark has recently been unveiled on Titchfield Park in Hucknall.
The facility has been designed by Freestyle Skateparks in conjunction with Ashfield District Council and a group of local
skaters and bikers who had campaigned for a new skatepark.
The new feature replaces the aging steel ramps that had grown less popular over recent years. The design has incorporated elements for each of the wheeled sports and is set to be a huge draw for the park, attracting both local enthusiasts and professional skaters.
The skatepark was funded through contributions from local housing developers towards the improvement of local open space.
There will be an official opening event of the skatepark which will be announced shortly - keep an eye on park noticeboards and the Council’s facebook page for more information.
