Eager Beavers Learn About Pest Control

||
Date: 17th February 2011

A local Beaver group learned all about pest control recently, thanks to a visit from Officers at Ashfield District Council.

The Councils Pest Control Services paid a visit to the Third East Kirkby Beavers on 31st January and gave a fun presentation to raise awareness to the children.

They were taught how to stay safe if they spot something in their garden such as rodents, wasps, insects, animals and reptiles and told to never approach the creature and to always tell a grown up who can call pest control if they are worried.

The children were asked to draw a picture about what they had learned and the officers returned on the 14th February to present them with a certificate for their hard work.
