The GIS & Land Charges Team has been working towards achieving ServiceMark accreditation since October 2010. Staff and customer surveys were conducted and the team achieved a Customer Service Index result of 91.2% and a Loyalty index of 92.1%.

Achieving this award clearly meets one of the four priority objectives outlined in the Council's Corporate Plan. The results of the customer survey show that the team provides an exemplary service at cost recovery. The staff survey identifies Ashfield Council as an excellent employer with strong support from its managers.

The final part of the award was an assessment conducted by an external assessor. The assessor gave a positive report highlighting the commitment of staff and willingness to meet customer expectations where possible. The ICS Board agreed with the recommendation and the team received the award at the end of April.

The accreditation with ICS ServiceMark recognises the efforts of the GIS & Land Charges section to deliver an accessible service producing high quality products in a timely fashion to their customers. We hope this will encourage other areas of the council to take on the challenge of also achieving this accreditation.
