In view of the proposed day of industrial action on November 30th, the Council has put plans in place to ensure services continue to be delivered to residents wherever possible and the following arrangements have been made:
The Council Offices at Urban Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield will be open to the public between 8.30am and 3.30pm.
The Council’s Cash Offices at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Hucknall and Selston will be closed to the public on November 30th and it is unlikely that the cash office facility at Kirkby-in-Ashfield will be operational.
It is anticipated that there will be significant disruption to waste collection services on Wednesday 30th November. We would still recommend residents place their bins out for collection on this date as collections will be undertaken if possible. If collections are missed, the bins should be put out again on the next scheduled collection day when up to three bags of side waste will also be collected.
Any extra recyclable materials put out for collection will need to be contained in a recyclable container – i.e. NOT a black refuse bag.
