Improvement works to revamp a popular Skegby play area are set to begin on 3rd October.
Improvement works to revamp a popular Skegby play area are set to begin on 3rd October.
Ashfield District Council has secured funding to improve the play provision on the recreation ground and has worked with the
Skegby Neighbourhood and Residents Group and Quarrydale School to design the improvements.
The work will include a refurbished toddler play area, swings and gym equipment suitable for youngsters and adults alike. It is planned for the works to be complete by November.
The work is part of Ashfield District Council's continuing commitment to improving green spaces around the district.
Cllr May Barsby, Chairman of Ashfield District Council, said: “I am very pleased with the improvement works that the Council undertake on local green spaces. Ashfield has many play areas and it is important that they are improved and updated to encourage more children and families to enjoy the outdoors.”
