Skatepark's Official Opening

The new Skatepark sited at Hucknall's Titchfield Park will be officially opened on Saturday, 1st October with loads of exciting activities for wheeled sports fans.
Planned activities for the event include a skate jam, competitions and demonstrations from wheeled sport pros.

The competition will kick-off at 1pm, with categories for under and over 16s in BMX, skateboarding and scooters. The competition will be free to enter, with prizes on offer to the winner.

Taster sessions for skateboarders will be taking place from 12-1pm with local skate school Nise Skateboards, who are also organising the competition.

The event is being organised by Nise Skateboards and supported by Ashfield District Council, Hucknall Youth Service and Freestyle - the skatepark designers.

A Council spokesperson said: “The new concrete skatepark has already received fantastic reviews from users and the skate jam will give us a chance to properly celebrate the opening of a high quality facility for young people in Hucknall.”

The skate park has been funded by Section 106 funding secured by Ashfield District Council from local housing developments.
