Around the District, local groups and individuals are starting to come forward to express an interest in hosting events to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Council is in the process of developing a new web page to support and publicise any events which take place which will be launched in the coming weeks.
Around the District, local groups and individuals are starting to come forward to express an interest in hosting events to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Council is in the process of developing a new web page to support and publicise any events which take place which will be launched in the coming weeks.
The pages will include information on Jubilee events taking place throughout the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend - June 1st
to 5th, 2012.
There will also be links to additional information which will be helpful to anyone thinking of holding an event, like how to organise a road closure in the event of a street party, or whether you will need a licence for your event.
Ashfield is also intending to name a number of Jubilee Beacons across the district, and information about getting involved in these events will also be included on the web pages.
