How Much Council Tax Do I Have To Pay?

||
The amount of Council Tax you pay is based upon valuation of your property

The table showing how much Council Tax you are required to pay in 2007/2008 is available as a public notice document:

The document shows the amount payable depending on the valuation band of your property, and the area of Ashfield in which you live.The document also shows you how your money is spent.

Note that the charges shown in these documents do not reflect any reductions for single occupancy, vacant property or Council Tax Benefit. Generally, single occupant households are entitled to a discount of 25%; vacant properties attract a discount of 50%.
Council Tax Benefit can cover up to 100% of Council Tax liability for those on low incomes.  Select this link for information about Council Tax Benefit

In addition to its own Council Tax, Ashfield District Council collects Council Tax for Nottinghamshire County Council; Nottinghamshire Police Authority; and, where necessary, the Parish Councils of Selston and Annesley & Felley.The document shows you which authority gets which proportion of your Council Tax payment.
