How to apply

To apply you must complete an application form, provide character references, pay the full fee and supply all the required documentation.

Or by contacting the

Licensing Section of Ashfield District Council.

In addition to completing the application form you will need to enclose payment for the licence fee (see fee costs here) and send the following information:

• A list of directors (companies only)
• Certificate of Incorporation
• Two character references - one of which must be from your most recent/current employer.
• A reference should be provided on the headed paper of the person giving the reference and be in a sealed envelope.

What happens Next?

Once the completed application form, fee and documentation has been received, the Council need to determine whether you are a 'fit and proper person' and whether the location you intend to use as the base is suitable.

We aim to notify you of our decision in writing within 7 working days.
