Council Tax Benefit

If you are liable to pay Council Tax and are on a low income you may be able to pay less by applying for Council Tax Benefit.

You can also get help and information about Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit at the Council's district offices. These are at Fox Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield; Watnall Road, Hucknall; and Nottingham Road, Selston.

Appeals

If you feel your property has not been valued correctly, you can appeal to the Listing Officer (address below).

A form to make an appeal is available from the Listing Officer or from the Local Taxation Section (see General Enquiries above).

Appeals should be made within 6 months of becoming a taxpayer.
