e-Procurement
||The Government Office has told public sector organisations that they must adopt The National Procurement Strategy. It sets out how councils, hospitals, NHS trusts, police and fire services can improve the delivery and cost effectiveness of high quality services through more effective, prudent and innovative procurement practices. These savings then release resources to be reused to provide the frontline services where they are needed.
The Electronic Supply Chain Project at Ashfield District Council is actively encouraging local businesses to take up e-procurement (to order, invoice and pay via on-line processes). A number of presentations and seminars are taking place to inform local businesses of the advantages and efficiencies of changing to these methods.
Staff within our Regeneration Section, can provide advice on how these changes may affect local businesses, along with support, guidance and any necessary adjustments that may need to be made.
If you are a local business and you would like further information about this project please contact us on 01623 457171 or send an email to eproc@ashfield.gov.uk
