United Reformed Church Westwood

||

The present bungalow-styled church was built in 1986, being the third church building on this site. The first building was made of wood and tin, and used for a short time until funds could be raised for a brick one, which was built in 1867. They were Congregational Churches until 1972, when the Congregational Union and the Presbyterian Church of England combined to form the new United Reformed Church.

As the village of Westwood had no village hall, the new church hall has become the centre of most village functions. The Church Hall is used by a Mothers and Toddlers group, various Youth Groups (including The Brownies), and the Over 60 Breakaway Club, making it a real community Church.
