green spaces which meet the needs of the community and contribute to quality of life within the district, while working towards
sustainable management and increased benefit for wildlife.
The Green Space and Playing Pitch Strategies will provide a focus for the continued improvement of green spaces in Ashfield and provide guidance on the provision of new green space and associated facilities through the development process.
It will help to ensure that all residents have access to sufficient, good quality open space.
The strategy's focus is on publicly accessible green space, including allotments, cemeteries and sports pitches.
The Green Space Strategy was adopted in September 2008.
