Quarterly Performance Indicator ReportsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- are reported to Cabinet quarterly. Reports are as follows:

Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs)

– included in the council’s KPIs are all of the national best value performance indicators.

Every year the Audit Commission publishes the performance indicator data for all councils, including district councils such as Ashfield.

In addition to publishing every council's results, it also categorises performance for many of the indicators into quartiles: top 25%, Above Average, Below Average and Bottom 25%. These quartiles are based on the distribution or spread of the data submitted by each council and they allow us to compare our own performance with that of the best whenever such a measure is possible or meaningful.

The Council's Data Quality Strategy underpins the performance management arrangements and outlines the steps necessary to maintain the highest possible standards throughout the processes that result in recognisable performance information.
