Animal Welfare
||Ashfield District Council provides residents with services to control stray dogs, reduce dog fouling and promote animal welfare
within the District.
These services include:
- Dealing with noise issues (barking and other animal noise)
- Providing a Dog Control Service to help dog fouling and stray dogs
- Providing a micro-chipping service
- Providing 'poop scoop' (see dog fouling) bags to dispose of animal mess
- Offering a dog neutering and spaying service
- Regulating animal licensing for the following areas, animal boarding, pet shops, dog breeding, dangerous animals, riding establishments, and zoo's.
