Regularisation Application

Since 1999, there has been the facility to submit a retrospective application for works that have been undertaken without the necessary Building Regulation approval. This "Regularisation" application can be submitted for works that were started on or after the 11th November 1985.

Depending on the circumstances it may be necessary to expose, remove and/or rectify works to establish compliance with the Building Regulations.

Because of the potential works required to obtain a regularisation certificate, you are advised to contact the Council's Building Control Section to discuss your individual circumstances prior to submitting a regularisation application.
