Abandoned Vehicles - What You Can Do

||
The Government has responded to the national problem of abandoned vehicles by giving stronger powers to Councils to remove and dispose of vehicles much quicker.

These powers remain limited in their extent; however, we all have a responsibility to ensure that we protect our environment.

You can help the Council tackle this problem in a number of ways:

If you have a vehicle that has reached the end of its useful life

If you have a vehicle that has reached the end of its useful life, the Council will dispose of it free of charge.

In the first month of operation we removed 12 vehicles under the free collection service but we want to remove more!

For further information on this scheme, please see "Free Scrap Vehicle Collection Service".

If you see a vehicle that you think may be abandoned

Alternatively, you can report the same details by sending an e-mail to vehicles@ashfield-dc.gov.uk.
