What Services Are Offered?

The Pest Control Team can provide a full range of services tailored to your individual needs. These include:

What Pest Species Are Treated?

All common public health pest species can be treated. These include rats, mice, crawling insect pests such as cockroaches, and flying insects such as wasps.

What Does It Cost?

The price for all one-off treatments is given in the table below. It is however often better value to take out an annual contract where a much more comprehensive service can usually be offered at only a modest increased cost. As all premises are different, and as the needs of our community differ, the price of any contract must be assessed individually. This assessment is provided free of charge as part of our free survey and estimate service.

Sample Treatment Costs

Rats and Mice	£121.50 (inc VAT)	This is for 3 visits only and represents the minimum charge for small premises. Where a larger/more complex property is involved, the PCO will quote accordingly.
Rats and Mice (CONTRACTS)	£182.00 (inc VAT)	This is for an initial survey, written quote (on pre-printed sheet), siting of bait stations, contract folder, 8 visits during the twelve month period, topping up bait at each visit, verbal reports on treatment. This price is for small basic properties. Where a larger more complex property is involved, the PCO will quote accordingly.
Rats and Mice (SCHOOL CONTRACTS)	£269.00 (inc VAT) up to 200 pupils £344.50 (inc VAT) 201 – 300 pupils £471.50 (inc VAT) 301 – 400 pupils £607.00 (inc VAT) 401 – 500 pupils £740.50 (inc VAT) 501 – 600 pupils £877.00 (inc VAT) 601 – 700 pupils £1011.50 (inc VAT) 701 – 800 pupils £1144.50 (inc VAT) 801 – 900 pupils £1279.00 (inc VAT) 901 – 1000 pupils £1682.50 (inc VAT) Over 1000 pupils	The cost of school contracts should be calculated on the basis of the number of pupils attending the school.
Wasps	£52.50 (inc VAT)
Bees (if treated)	£52.50 (inc VAT)
Fleas	£68.50 (inc (VAT)	This is the minimum charge. Where a large/more complex property is involved, the PCO will quote accordingly.
Cockroaches	£133.50 (inc VAT)	This is for initial survey which will involve the use of traps. After this, the PCO will quote on the basis of hourly rate.
Ants (LIMITED SERVICE FOR COUNCIL OR ASHFIELD HOMES OFFIECS ONLY)	Treatment of ants will be a chargeable service with the charges as follows; Treatment at the Council Offices, Urban Road - 50% of the current hourly rate (£33.00 inc VAT) Treatment at all other premises - 1 hour at the current hourly rate of £67.50 (inc VAT)	• No treatment will be undertaken for domestic premises (this includes Ashfield Homes properties that are empty). • Treatment will only be undertaken at Council or Ashfield Homes office premises. • In all cases the client MUST be advised that the treatment may not be completely successful, as it is unlikely that we will be able to locate and treat the actual nest and further treatment will not be undertaken unless an additional payment is made.
Pigeons	Telephone advice only. Advice on site charged at hourly rate £67.50 (inc VAT) after first hour.
Allotments / Smallholdings	Charged at hourly rate of £67.50 (inc VAT)

and speak to one of our knowledgeable and friendly administrative staff. If a pest control officer is not immediately available to speak to you, your details will be taken and where possible a pest control officer will contact you later the same day to arrange a time to visit your premises.

Who Will Visit?

You will be visited by an experienced Pest Control Officer who will be qualified to Royal Society for the protection of Health standards or higher. All our Pest Control Officers receive on-going training from industry recognised external providers.

What Happens At The Visit?

The Pest Control Officer will carry out a thorough survey of your premises, and will then advise you of all treatment options available and the different costs involved. This visit is free of charge.
