House, now house and post office, mid C18 and mid C19. Coursed and squared rubble, rendered and pebbledashed, with steep pitched slate roof. Stone quoins. Three gable stacks, two storeys plus garrets. Three bays. Windows are flushed mullioned casements and C19 plain sashes.
South side has to the left, two storey service wing with a sash. To right, a door with illegible datestone above, flanked by single casements. Above, three casements, the two to the right blocked.
Rear elevation has a central casement on each floor.
East gable has to the left, single storey lean-to addition, brick and rubble, with pantile roof. Sash and door. To the right, door with segmental head, flanked by single sashes. Above, two sashes on each floor, those to garret smaller.
This building is in the Kirkby Conservation Area.
