Skegby Manor HouseManor house, now a roofless ruin. 1207 and late C13. Built by Spigurnel family. Coursed and squared rubble and dressed stone. Complete openings are mostly blocked.

Hall north wall has to left 2 different chamfered windows. To their right, round headed doorway with shafts, imposts and hood mould. To right again, doorway and above it, 2 square openings. Beyond, a slit opening.

Solar north gable has to right, chamfered lancet. Above, larger central lancet.

West side has to left, buttress and chamfered doorway. To right, door. Above, to right, slit window. West side has off-centre external side wall stack flanked by large broken openings.

This building was excavated and consolidated in 1983. It is also a scheduled ancient monument.
