How do I make a planning application?
||Changes To The Planning Application Forms (1APP)
From April 2008, the National Standard Planning Application Form (1APP) will become the only official method of submitting a planning application for all types of consent (except for Minerals) for all Local Planning Authorites (LPA's) in England.
1APP is a key part of the Communities and Local Government Department's commitment to make the planning system simpler, faster and easier to use. As well as speeding up the planning process, the introduction of the Standard Application Form will also enable planning services to be provided online and give applicants certainty about the information they need to provide through the adoption of consistently applied national and local Planning Application Requirements (PAR's).
The Standard Application Form will cover the full range of application types.
Once you have established that you need planning permission or another type of permission such as Listed Building Consent you will need to formally apply to the Planning Department.
Application forms can be downloaded using the link 'Online Forms' or you can collect / request them from the Council Offices.
Alternatively, you can apply through the Planning Portal Website.
