Contaminated Land Information Requests

Ashfield District Council holds a diverse range of records relevant to the condition of land for specific sites across the district. These records include information which the Council has collected; along with that which has been obtained from third parties. Ashfield District Council is required to make certain records available to the public under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Information which is required to be available can be viewed free of charge, by appointment, at the Council Offices on Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield. Alternatively information can be requested by post or email. Requests for provision of written information requiring officer investigation

Please supply a written request with details of required information and any specific questions along with:

Officers will assess the request and calculate the fee for the provision of the information based on the complexity of the request and estimated officer time to complete request. Once this fee has been calculated you will be contacted by letter requesting acceptance of the fee. The Environmental Protection Unit will aim to send a written response within 7 days of receiving acceptance of the fee.

It should be noted that available information is restricted to that which is held/known by the Council; in certain circumstances requested information may not be available, should it be in a draft format or form part of an ongoing investigation. Furthermore some information may be available from alternative sources. The provision of such information is subject to administrative fees as detailed.
