Safety Signs

Safety signs communicate information such as warning of a hazard, showing the way to a fire exit, or instructing employees to wear personal protective equipment. Regulations specify certain types to be used, helping to make them easy to recognise and understand wherever they appear

The main categories of safety sign are:

Warning signswarning signs - for hazards such as flammable materials

prohibition signsprohibition signs - prohibiting certain actions such as smoking

mandatory signsmandatory signs - telling people that they must do something such as wearing hearing protection

safe condition signsafe condition signs - giving information about safety features such as fire exits

Fire-fighting signs Fire-fighting signs - giving information on fighting fires
