- Decent Homes Assistance (70KB)
This is a grant/loan package available to owner-occupiers of pre-1919 houses in certain streets in the Huthwaite area. - Disabled
facilities Grants (67KB)
This is a grant given to carry out adaptation works to houses to enable a disabled occupier to use the facilities and get into and around the house. The initial referral for one of these grants must come from the Occupational Therapy Team at Notts. County Council, Social Services Department. - Empty
Homes Grant (73KB)Empty Homes Grants are available to owners of houses that have been empty for three years or more.
The grant is to bring properties up to the decent homes
standard. - Heatstreet
Scheme (72KB)
Heatstreets is a scheme which is being run in partnership with Powergen. It offers loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and in some cases, installation of heating appliances. - Home Repair Assistance (76KB)Homes Repairs Assistance (HRA) is given in the form of an interest free loan. The loan is repayable only when the property is sold. It is given to carry out essential repairs to houses where the owner occupier is in receipt of certain benefits and over 60 years of age or disabled.

in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Grant (67KB)
House in Multiple Occupation Grant is given to owners of houses in multiple
occupation (a house occupied by persons who do not form a single household) to carry out essential fire precaution works and works to improve the means of escape in case of fire. - Radon Remedial Grant (66KB) Radon Remedial Grant is given to owners of houses where a test has shown there to be high levels of radon gas. The grant pays for remedial works which will reduce the levels of radon.

Advice for the Elderly (SAFE) Scheme (69KB)
This is a scheme run in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police, to give safety
advice and install security measures in the homes of elderly people.
Care and Repair Home Improvement Agency
The Care and Repair agency provide professional, technical and administrative services to elderly, disabled and disadvantaged home owners who are having works carried out in their homes.
Handyperson Service
This is a scheme to assist elderly and disabled occupiers to get small jobs done in and around the home.
